Safer Recruitment Day Conference

Aim:

To make safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children an integral part of HR Management in organisations that work with children by helping them to deter, reject or identify people who might abuse children, or are otherwise unsuited to work with them.

Objectives:

Based on an understanding of offending behaviour to:

• Identify the key features of staff recruitment that help deter or prevent the appointment of unsuitable people.
• Consider policies and practices that minimise opportunities for abuse or ensure its prompt reporting.
• Help participants begin to review their organisations, policies and practices in recruitment with a view to making them safer.

Duration: 1 day conference

Accreditation:

Safer Recruitment Consortium (upon completion of assessment on the day) as recognised by Ofsted.

This training meets the statutory requirement to have atleast one member of the interview panel suitably trained. Attendees must stay for the full duration of the course. All Head Teachers, Senior Staff, Governors, HR & Agency Representatives welcome.
