Safeguarding Children - Level 2
Aim:
To support Designated Safeguarding Leads/members of Safeguarding Teams in understanding their safeguarding responsibilities.
Objectives:
- To extend your knowledge of Cumbria's threshold guidance, the referral and assessment process and how personnel can contribute.
- To recognise and identify indicators of abuse.
- To enable staff to make the links between risk factors, behavioural factors and possible abuse.
- To examine legislation and policy relating to Safeguarding Children.
- For participants to understand their Safeguarding Children roles and responsibilities.
Duration: 1 day
All Designated Safeguarding Leads/Teams and those new to the role welcome.
Please note: this training must be refreshed every two years.
